Meet our team

Shaun Slade

Founder Director of Maintenance

Shaun Slade brings 25 years of aviation excellence to his role as Owner at Lakeland Aircraft Maintenance. Shaun’s aviation journey started in a Warbird restoration shop, sparking a passion that has fueled his remarkable career.


Shaun started with pivotal roles such as Chief Pilot and Head of Maintenance for a small corporation, showcasing his versatility in aviation. It was during this period that he earned his Airframe and Powerplant Certificate and Inspector’s Authorization, marking a significant milestone in his commitment to aviation excellence.


Shaun is a certified Commercial Multi-Engine Instrument Pilot with single and multi-engine seaplane ratings, along with being a 135 helicopter-rated pilot. He also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.


Shaun has a keen focus on safety and quality, enhanced by his passion and proficiency for aviation, which allows him to simplify the complexities of aircraft maintenance for his customers.

Frank Reuter

General Manager

Frank Reuter is a seasoned aviation professional with 35 years of both military and civilian aircraft maintenance experience. His aviation journey began in 1986 with the United States Army and included service in 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and the Office of Miliary Support. He retired with the rank of Master Sergeant.

 

Frank transitioned into the private sector, working for companies such as Black Water, AAR Airlift, and Summit aviation in rolls from A&P Mechanic, Director of Maintenance, and finally Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering. He has extensive professional credentials, including 1,000 hours of specialized instruction, Airframe and Powerplant License, and Inspector’s Authorizations. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in Business Management from Grantham University, and he remains a lifelong learner.

 

With a wealth of experience, a robust educational background, and a proven track record, Frank brings a focus on safety and reliability to his customers and the aviation industry.
